Pipeline Fighters -- your voices are needed now -- to weigh in on the Army Corps of Engineers current review of "Nationwide Permit 12," the special permit which since 2012 pipeline developers have taken advantage of to fast-track a series of major pipelines like DAPL, Gulf Coast Pipeline, KXL, MVP, ACP, and Byhalia.

The Army Corps is hosting a series of virtual public hearings for its review of Nationwide Permit 12. Register now to attend a virtual public hearing and testify (3 minutes per speaker).

• Tuesday, May 10: 12-2pm CT
• Wednesday, May 11 ("Virtual Tribal Meeting"), 12-2pm CT
• Thursday, May 12: 5-7pm CT
• Tuesday, May 17: 12-2pm CT
• Thursday, May 19: 1-3pm CT (Note: We are especially encouraging landowners to register and testify at the May 19 hearing.)

If you're not able to attend one of the virtual public hearings, you can still submit a written comment telling the Army Corps to shut down the Nationwide Permit 12 fast-track for oil & gas pipelines.

Nationwide Permit 12 is a scheme to avoid public scrutiny of oil and gas pipelines. By artificially treating these pipelines as hundreds or even thousands of "single and complete projects," NWP 12 avoids any public scrutiny. That’s the goal.

These pipelines have more than "minimal" environmental effects under any reasonable definition; simply put, NWP12 is a loophole under which the pipeline industry has fast-tracked all of these climate-polluting projects.

Fast-tracking permitting for oil and gas pipelines under Nationwide Permit 12 puts communities, waterways, and the climate at risk. NWP12 should not be used for fossil fuel pipelines -- the Army Corps must require robust analysis of the environmental impacts of these pipelines.

Tell the Army Corps: Shut down the NWP12 "fast-track" permit for pipelines.
