POLITICO: McCarthy-aligned super PAC plans $125M ad buy to win the House

I have to admit -- this headline stopped me in my tracks.

No doubt, $125 million is a big number and the majority of it is being spent in Democrat-held districts like ours. That’s more than the amount this dark-money group spent on ads during the entire 2020 cycle -- and it’s just the start of what the group is planning to spend this year.

So yes, $125 million is a big number -- but it’s not insurmountable.

I know we can defeat big money at the ballot box and bring home a win for New Jerseyans. How do I know? Because we’ve done it before.

DONATE NOW

In 2018, we flipped NJ-11 for the first time in over 30 years, making the biggest swing from red to blue in the country that year. And in 2020, we overcame a wave of ugly GOP attacks and hundreds of millions of dollars spent against Democrats like me.

Besides, I’m used to challenges. I joined the Naval Academy at 18 and served as a Navy helicopter pilot for nearly 10 years. (And that’s not even to mention that I’m a mom of four kids!)

We can do this, but we have to put in the work.

Your contributions power our grassroots organization ahead to Election Day, and I’m hoping you’ll be a part of our campaign. Will you make your first contribution of the year today?
