Dear John,

As you may have seen already, last Tuesday, I lost the primary election in Ohio's 4th congressional district by just under 800 votes. I know this is not the outcome or the result we wanted, but I am proud of the campaign we ran and the energy we built to oust Jim Jordan this upcoming election.

I want to take this opportunity to thank my campaign staff, my family, and my friends who supported me through this process. Emily, everything I have ever done has been for you, and I want to thank you for patiently supporting me over the past few cycles.

And, I want to thank you, John, for believing in me and supporting me through this journey. I'm just a regular guy, single dad, and factory worker from Lima, Ohio. I would never have had the courage to run for office without knowing that there are people out there who believed in me and the campaign we ran.

But I need you to know that the fight to defeat Jim Jordan – and other GOP candidates who do not support our democracy – is not over yet. And I'm not done fighting for a better America, one that supports veterans, single parents, and working-class Americans like me. When you gave to our cause we promised we'd do everything we can to defeat extremists like Jim Jordan and that's why we're looking at ways to impactfully and purposefully use the remaining funds to grow an effort across the country to support the values of the working class and defeat extremism. More on that coming very soon.

In the meantime, please join me in congratulating and supporting Tamie Wilson, the Democratic Nominee of OH-04, who will take on Jim Jordan in the general election. I look forward to voting for Tamie in November and doing everything to make sure we #FireJimJordan once and for all.

This campaign would not have been possible without you, John. Thank you.

- Jeff
