I am proud to support Tina Kotek for Governor. Please take a few minutes to understand why I think my friend Tina should be our next Governor.
Tina has spent her entire public service career fighting for Oregonians. She is also a very thoughtful progressive leader and a climate champion.
The dangers of climate change worry me deeply and the type of world we are leaving behind for our children and grandchildren. I support Tina because she is the leader we need in office as we plan and battle against the effects of climate change in this region.
She is a proven environmental advocate, and her work as Speaker has been phenomenal battling the effects of climate change. Notably for me, in 2021, Tina fought for and worked to pass the 100% clean electricity bill which outlines the path to get Oregon to 100% clean electricity by 2040 and includes a $50 million investment to jumpstart more community renewable projects in Oregon. There is NO doubt this appropriation will help make offshore wind happen off the southern Oregon coast within this decade. This will provide a lot of renewable energy and a lot of well-paid union jobs for years to come.
We need Tina’s brand of thoughtful, creative leadership in the governor's office. She tirelessly stands up and fights for Oregonians, and today I ask that you join me in supporting her in the Governor's election.
