Team,
Senate Majority Leader Schumer announced last week that tomorrow, May 11, the U.S. Senate will hold a new vote on the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA)—federal legislation that would protect the right to access abortion in every state.
The stakes have never been higher for abortion rights in the United States. If Roe v. Wade were overturned, half of U.S states could take action to ban abortion immediately. This is why we need our senators to vote for WHPA tomorrow.
With abortion access on the line like never before, it is clear that we need a federal law that protects the right to abortion across the country. The Senate must pass WHPA to ensure that a person's zip code or economic status never determines their access to abortion care.
Take action now, tell your senators to act for abortion access today by asking them to pass WHPA!
Onward,
Center for Reproductive Rights
