From all of us: Thank you. |
Before the winter holiday season is upon us, and as many gather with loved ones to celebrate gratitude, I wanted to take this moment to say Thank You. Your support, and generosity, have reached more than 28 million people this year. All around the world, too many people spent this year experiencing some of the world’s biggest challenges. Families in Syria were forced again to flee violence. Farmers in Kenya continued to feel uncertainty and hunger deepened by a growing climate crisis. Communities in the Bahamas began to rebuild and recover after their homes and businesses were devastated by one of the most severe hurricanes on record. Despite these challenges, your support was able to bring hope, empowerment, security and opportunity to millions of people around the world. For that, all of us at Mercy Corps want to express our gratitude. Watch this video to meet some of the people your support has helped this year ▸ We want you to know that throughout 2019, you’ve helped more than 28 million people believe that a better world is possible. You’ve connected them with the tools, resources and support they need to build a stronger, safer and more secure future — both for themselves and their families. Today and every day, I want to thank you for your support of our work. Thank you for helping displaced families start over to rebuild their lives. Thank you for helping communities develop ways to become stronger and more resilient. Thank you for lending your voice in support of policies that help prevent violence and support foreign aid. Thank you — for believing a better world is possible. With my appreciation, Adrienne Karecki, Mercy Corps Chief Development and Marketing Officer |
