1. Republicans are going on offense and Mike’s district is at the center of their strategy to retake the House. The $1,600,000 investment for TV and digital attack ads against Mike represents one of the largest expenditures in the country. This comes after the voter registration breakdown in our district shifted slightly toward Republicans.

2. We can expect more super PAC spending to come. CLF President Dan Conston confirmed that this number is “a baseline, and we’re going to keep spending from here.”

Mike’s race is officially one of the most competitive House races in the entire country for incumbent Democrats. We need to be ready to defend the 49th, and the good news is that our team is expanding our grassroots outreach into new areas of our district, and prepping literature, mailers, digital ads, and tv spots of our own.
