A strong plan to keep Australians Safe and Secure

The first duty of any government is to keep Australians safe and secure.

In these uncertain times we face a wide range of evolving threats - globally and in our region.

That's why the choice at this election is so critical.

This week the Prime Minister launched our plan to keep Australians safe and secure. [[link removed]] It's a blueprint for the future that builds on our record investments in defence and national security.

As Home Affairs Minister I've overseen the strengthening of ASIO and our law enforcement agencies - so they can better protect our national interests.

Of course, it’s only by managing a strong economy [[link removed]] that we can afford to make ongoing investments in defence, national security and law enforcement.

In these uncertain times, we can't risk a Labor/Greens government that would raid defence and national security budgets to pay for their big spending promises.

Only the Coalition can be trusted to protect our sovereignty and our borders, our democracy and our way of life.

If you’d like to discuss any aspect of our plan, feel free to phone my office.

Yours sincerely,

Karen Andrews MP
