Congratulations to Elise for correctly identifying the female Common Yellowthroat (Geothlypis trichas). According to All About Birds, the Common Yellowthroat was one of the first bird species to be cataloged in North America. During migration, this is often the most common warbler found in fields and edges. It sometimes joins other warbler species in mixed foraging flocks.
