Those who know me know that I have deep ties to Georgia. I earned my degree at Morehouse College and cut my teeth in politics working for Mayor Shirley Franklin.
And it’s no secret that all eyes are on Georgia this year.
In 2021, Democrats in Georgia pulled off an historic victory-- flipping the state blue after decades of Republican control. And this year, we have the chance to make history again by electing Erick Allen as the next Lieutenant Governor of Georgia.
For a decade, Erick has put in the work, organizing and mobilizing underrepresented voters in Georgia. He’s worked with Stacey Abrams to combat voter suppression in Black and brown communities and give every Georgian a real voice.
I’ve had a front row seat to some of the most significant political moments of the past decade, and I can tell you two things:
1. This election is a do-or-die moment for Democrats in Georgia and across the country.
2. Erick Allen is the right man to meet this moment.
The whole country is looking to candidates like Erick to take on voter suppression and prove once and for all that progress is possible no matter the obstacles.
