Hello Colorado Republicans,

I hope you all enjoyed your Mother's Day! My video this week includes my mom and my daughter sharing with you how we can win women's votes in 2022.

It's been great to visit with Republicans in Denver, Fremont, and Elbert counties recently, and I'll see many of you at the San Luis Valley Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday! Between now and the primary, we will continue to strategize and build key coalitions to win our swing districts across Colorado.

Colorado Republicans had a booth at Cinco de Mayo in Denver last weekend, with many candidates participating. A special thanks to our Vice Chairman Priscilla Rahn and the Colorado Hispanic Republicans for organizing our efforts there. We now have the Commitment to Colorado available in Spanish. We've also updated our website with a page about Securing Our Elections. Please go here ([link removed]) and find out what we're doing and how you can volunteer.

If you haven't signed up for the Colorado Republican Rumble, hosted by the Women of Weld, check it out here: [link removed] ([link removed]) . You can purchase tickets to attend a day of debates before the primary in CD8, the Secretary of State, Governor, and U.S. Senate races.

Keep up your great work!

** Rep. Lauren Boebert leading a charge against Biden’s ‘disinformation’ board; calls it a hill to die on
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
Complete Colorado ([link removed]) : Rep. Lauren Boebert is penning a bill in Congress that she hopes will stop a new federal “Disinformation Governance Board ([link removed]) ,” to be overseen by the Department of Homeland Security. The Biden-backed board was quickly tagged as the “Ministry of Truth” by its critics, a reference to one of the government ministries ([link removed]) in George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984.”

According to Fox News ([link removed]) , Boebert, the Republican congresswoman who represents Colorado’s 3^rd Congressional District, an area that covers nearly all the western half of the state from Wyoming on the north to New Mexico on the south, has drafted legislation that would defund the new board.

“This kind of stuff is terrifying,” Boebert told Fox News Digital. “We in Congress have the power of the purse. It is our duty to shut down this department immediately.”

Boebert Tweeted out that this is “Stalin and Mao level.” The new board would essentially sanction the ability of appointed officials to subjectively decide what is and what is not “truthful.”

Ken Buck: Sec. Mayorkas has intentionally sabotaged American security on border
[link removed]
Fort Morgan Times: ([link removed]) U.S. Rep. Ken Buck, R-Windsor, said during a heated exchange Thursday with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that those in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District find his actions along the nation’s southern border to be traitorous and deserving of impeachment.

Illegal border crossings could reach 18,000 per day following the nearing revocation of the Title 42 policy, which Buck has opposed. More than 2.4 million illegal immigrants have been apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border since President Joe Biden’s inauguration. Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has said the illegal immigrant population could reach a total greater than his state’s population within Biden’s first term.

“Many of my constituents have asked me whether you will be impeached when Republicans gain control next year,” Buck said during Thursday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing. “They don’t believe that you’ve committed a high crime and they don’t believe that you’ve committed a misdemeanor. My constituents want you impeached because they believe that you’ve committed treason. They believe you are a traitor and compare you to Benedict Arnold.”

The actions of Mayorkas amount to a sabotage of the country stemming from “catastrophic and deliberate mishandling” of the border, Buck said Friday in an interview with The Fort Morgan Times. He has previously described policy as a willful disregard of immigration law.

** ‘We can not do this alone:’ Congressman Lamborn and El Paso County undersheriff hold fentanyl roundtable discussion
------------------------------------------------------------
KKTV ([link removed]) : Conversations around the fentanyl crisis continue as the drug continues to claim lives in Colorado.

Wednesday, Congressman Doug Lamborn and the undersheriff for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office held a roundtable discussion with local leaders about the drug. Those in attendance included law enforcement, the district attorney, the coroner, and a Monument father who lost both his sons to fentanyl.

Officials say anyone who chooses to take an illicit drug is putting their life at risk because it could be laced with fentanyl without their knowledge. They say education is important and that this problem is going to take our entire community to fix.
