Team,

By now, you probably heard of Justice Alito’s leaked draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade .

I am deeply concerned about the long-term implications of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn a legal precedent that’s protected a personal choice for nearly 50 years.

Justice Alito’s opinion should be a rallying cry for ALL Americans to elect a wave of Democrats in the upcoming midterm election.

In a minute I will tell you why it’s more important than ever for Dems to keep our Congressional majorities – but before I do so, friend, will you contribute today and defend our razor-thin majority? [[link removed]]

CONTRIBUTE [[link removed]]When House Dems saw Trump and McConnell stack the Supreme Court with conservative judges, we knew we had to do our part to prepare for the moment we found ourselves in when the draft opinion was leaked.

We knew that with a 6-3 majority, we could not only lose Roe v. Wade , but we could return to segregated schools, Black people and women could lose the right to vote, or in the extreme, Black people could be placed back into chattel slavery—all because these rights were denied before.

And so, we took action. House Democrats passed the Women’s Health Protection Act to codify Roe v. Wade , the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, in an effort to protect the American people, and protect the rights denied to us that we have fought so hard for.

These bills, along with several other bills intended to make American lives better, are stalled in the Senate. In order to get these across the finish line, we need to not only protect our majority, but expand our majority. Only then will we be able to protect our democracy and protect American lives. Please contribute today and defend our majority! [[link removed]]
