The Democratic Party
-----------------------
Hi there, John.

Saturday at midnight marks a critical fundraising deadline for our party. DNC staff here at HQ and across the country are trying to do as much preparation as possible before 2020 officially begins -- but if we fall short of Saturday's goal, it could put key parts of our national campaign strategy at risk of being underfunded.

Can I be honest with you, John? I'm worried. As a party and as a country, coming up short truly isn't an option we can afford right now. Every day that passes without your help to ramp up our efforts is a day wasted, and one closer to a Trump victory.

If just 160 more supporters from Washington are able to chip in before Saturday at midnight, we'll be on track to achieve our party's goal and fund the critical work that must be done to defeat Donald Trump and elect Democrats nationwide in November. Can you chip in $7 before our deadline, John?

The good news is we know what it takes to win! From flipping Governor seats and taking back the House, to holding Trump accountable with historically low approval numbers, the DNC has demonstrated we know what works.

When people ask you why your investment in the DNC matters, the road ahead rests on these four key pillars:

Overhauling our tech, data, and cybersecurity to modernize campaigns and win. Trump has built a campaign juggernaut, and the DNC and our nominee have to be prepared to win a close election by knowing exactly who our supporters are and how best to reach them.

Doubling down on our 50-state strategy and building a world-class organizing and voter protection infrastructure -- this means more staff across the country to recruit volunteers, identify supporters, get them to the polls, and protect their votes once they're there.

Holding Trump accountable through our DNC War Room and taking the fight to him in battleground states. We've taken an innovative approach to telling a local story -- in newspapers and online -- in communities across the country about Trump's failed leadership.

Running a fair, transparent, and inclusive presidential nominating process that leaves our eventual nominee in the strongest position possible to unify our party and win the general election.

Democrats' ability to win in 2020 depends on every single one of these pillars, John -- none is more important than the other. But this work can't happen if we miss this month's crucial fundraising goal. As you just heard, the DNC is investing wisely and strategically in the tools Democrats need to win in 2020 -- but we won't be able to sustain these investments from now until Election Day unless we have the funds to support them.

That's why I'm counting on 160 more supporters from Washington -- including you, John -- to step up and make a $7 donation to our party before Saturday at midnight. Every dollar you're able to give will immediately go towards funding the four pillars of the DNC's 2020 strategy and helping Democrats win in every ZIP code.

It's so important to me that you, as a valued member of this team, are a part of our party's plan to defeat Donald Trump and his army of GOP allies. I've worked on a lot of campaigns, John, and I expect 2020 to be the most challenging cycle yet. It's going to be a long, hard fight, but I know that we can do it if we come together.

This work includes hitting our party's November fundraising goal by Saturday. We're still not quite there, but if 160 more supporters from Washington chip in, we'll be able to hit our goal and stay on track for 2020. So, John:

Can you donate $7 before midnight? Your gift will help our eventual nominee and the entire Democratic Party start the 2020 race off in the strongest possible position to win.

Thanks for being part of this team, John.

P.S. There are just a few days left before our party's critical fundraising deadline. Can you be one of the 160 more supporters we need from Washington to donate $7 to hit our goal and fund the critical work Democrats must do to win?
