When gas prices hit record-highs in March, President Biden promised Americans the spike would be temporary. This was far from the truth. Regular gas prices are just pennies away from a new record-high, diesel has reached a record-high, and natural gas has hit the highest level in nearly 15 years.
For families planning summer road trips and businesses facing soaring shipping costs, this gas spike couldn’t come at a worse time. Undeterred, the Biden administration is forging ahead with their war on American energy and doubling down on the very policies that created this crisis. At the same time, liberal states like California continue to raise their gas taxes.
On the flipside, though, conservative state leaders know the solution to our surging gas prices is simple. We need to unleash the might of the American energy industry and return the country to energy independence so we are no longer reliant on foreign oil.
