Congresswoman Cori Bush.

I have an exciting announcement to make today: I’m proud to share that I’m
officially endorsing Summer Lee to represent Pennsylvania's 12th
Congressional district.

Summer is exactly the kind of colleague we need to join us in Congress to
fight for the progressive, anti-racist policies our communities need. Like
me, Summer understands first-hand the challenges working families face
today. 

But Summer needs our support right now if we're going to elect
Pennsylvania's first Black Congresswoman. Here’s how you can
help, John:

Summer’s primary is just 8 days away and her corporate-backed opponent
knows that Summer is on the cusp of making history. So now, some of the
same super PACs that attacked me last cycle are flooding millions of
dollars into this race to attack Summer.

Summer win her primary on May 17 so that we can work together in Congress
to create a new kind of politics that lifts up everyday people — not
corporate interests?

Just like Summer, when I ran for Congress, we also had to face a big-money
funded, corporate Democrat in our primary. 

To be blunt, there was so much doubt about whether we could be victorious.

Our campaign was funded by regular people, many chipping in $5 or $10. And
many didn’t believe we could defeat the corporate backed machine against
us. You don’t meet that many members of Congress who’ve been evicted,
lived in their car, or even lived paycheck to paycheck. 

But that’s exactly why it was so important to me to run. Because it’s
everyday people who should be driving our politics. 

And that’s why it’s important to me that we give all of our support to
Summer Lee for the next 8 days so that we can grow our progressive
movement in Congress and send a real people’s champion to represent
Pennsylvania's 12th Congressional district.

Summer and I both come from organizing backgrounds. From pushing back
against environmental racism in her community to advocating for policies
that would lift up regular everyday folks — Summer will be bold and
unapologetic in delivering progressive change.

But before Summer and I can make big changes happen in Congress, we need
to make sure she overcomes the huge wave of dark money being spent to
