| | | | | Advocacy Tell Your Senators: Protect Reproductive Health and Abortion Access! Majority Leader Schumer announced that the Senate will vote this Wednesday, May 11th, on the Women's Health Protection Act, a crucial bill to protect reproductive rights. Despite the non-inclusive name, the bill itself is inclusive of people of all genders, stating its purpose to “...protect a person’s ability to determine whether to continue or end a pregnancy and to protect a health care provider’s ability to provide abortion services.” Reproductive healthcare is for everyone, whether you were assigned female at birth, are intersex, are cisgender, transgender, or nonbinary. The rights to bodily autonomy and privacy are also key components to keeping LGBTQ+ people safe, including access to gender-affirming care by trans kids with the support of their families and medical professionals. PFLAG National affirms that we must protect the right to reproductive health, including the right to abortion. Call your two Senators -- NOW -- to help get this bill to President Biden's desk! | | | | | Something to Talk About...Live!
