John,
Like many people, I’m considering what I’m thankful for this week. On a personal level and on a campaign level, we have a lot to be thankful for.
We’re thankful for every single dollar donated to our campaign. The fact that so many people have put their faith in me, and trust that I’ll fight to make their lives better when I get to the U.S. Senate, means so much to me.
I’m thankful to the supporters who approach me in person to ask for a photo together. The campaign road is often a lonely one to walk, so knowing you’re out there, all over Iowa, makes me smile and keeps me going.
On a personal level, I’m eternally thankful for my health, for my son's health, for my family, and for my friends—the people who loved me way before I decided to run for office and who will be there to the end of my days. Thank you.
Finally, I’m thankful for YOU. If you're reading this, I'm so grateful for you that it’s difficult for me to even find the right words. I hope I can count on you to stay faithful and to tell the people in your life about this campaign, where #everyonecounts. Because they do. YOU do. I want all of you to enjoy lives of health and dignity, and I'm doing my best to get to the Senate to help make that happen.
Now, more than ever, we have to remember all we have to be thankful for so we can meet the critical challenges of our time with strength and persistence. Together, we can change our nation for the better, and when we do, we’ll have even more to be grateful for.
With all my thanks,
Kimberly
