Dear advocate,
This Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, OCA is participating in Give in May; A nationwide giving campaign formed by the Asian Pacific Fund ([link removed]) , AAPI Data ([link removed]) , Asian Pacific Community Fund ([link removed]) , Korean American Community Foundation ([link removed]) , and Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy ([link removed]) to support AAPI non-profits.
Our K-12 Task Force is working hard to ensure that OCA is one of the leaders in pushing culturally relevant curricula in our nation's schools. We are in the final stages of completing our K-12 AANHPI Curriculum Project ([link removed]) , where we will host a database of AANHPI curricula that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive in classrooms nationwide.
We just launched our Instagram page ([link removed]) and are prepping for a workshop to cap the end of AANHPIHM! This 90-minute workshop will feature a panel of educators and advocates who will discuss the importance of including AANHPI studies in K-12 education, the development of new and exciting lesson plans, and ways to incorporate curricula into K-12 classrooms across the U.S. During the second half of the workshop, one of our very own curriculum designers will conduct a live walkthrough of a pilot lesson created specifically for this project. We will also share updates on our soon-to-be-released curriculum database - you don't want to miss!

Getting that curriculum into classrooms depends on your support. One way you can show up for the students, parents, educators, and advocates leading this effort: donating to OCA's Give in May campaign ([link removed]) !
Every single gift helps, and your donation can maximize your impact and keep your gift sustainable for generations to come.
Make a donation today ([link removed]) and join our effort to foster empathy through truly equitable education.
