Last week, Politico reported the Supreme Court is poised to strike down Roe v. Wade, taking away the right to reproductive healthcare and bodily autonomy for millions of women.
Most Ohioans and Americans believe abortion should remain legal, but that hasn't stopped J.D. Vance, Mike DeWine, and other Ohio Republicans from attacking reproductive rights.
In 2019, DeWine signed an abortion bill so extreme that a federal judge blocked it from taking effect. If the Supreme Court votes to overturn Roe, DeWine has already said he's ready to revive the bill and do everything he can to restrict reproductive rights.
J.D. Vance has supported abortion bans too. When asked if he would support prohibiting abortion even in cases of rape and incest — he called rape “inconvenient.”
This year’s election could not be more important and come November, we need to reject these attacks on reproductive rights.
