My family has been fighting for reproductive rights for generations.
I grew up hearing about my Grandma Judy volunteering at women’s health clinics in the sixties and seventies, even before Roe was decided. She taught high school sexual education and served as Chair of Planned Parenthood of Minnesota while my mom was growing up. My family talked about the bomb threats made at the clinic where my grandma volunteered and how no matter what she experienced, she remained committed to the work.
Today, we face the most significant threat to reproductive rights in fifty years. I will not let my grandmother’s work — and the work of generations who have fought on the front lines for the right to control their own destiny — be in vain.
I ran for office because I was inspired by my grandmother’s legacy of public service. I ran for office because I want to be able to tell my children and grandchildren that when their rights were at stake, I did everything I could. And I currently serve as the Leader of the Assembly Democrats so I can stand up for all Wisconsinites against Republican extremism.

If Roe falls, abortion will be banned in Wisconsin
without any exceptions for rape, incest, or the life and wellness of the mother. Assembly Democrats are fighting to repeal the 1849 statute that would make providing an abortion a felony in Wisconsin immediately, but radical Republicans like Robin Vos can’t wait to turn back the clock on Wisconsin women and families.
