Nobel-winning research to reduce poverty. In the midst of our once-a-year matching campaign, I’d like to ask you to support IPA in scaling up this approach.
Over the last 17 years, IPA has gone from a small nonprofit supporting a few studies on microfinance to expanding across the globe—we have now conducted more than 830 evaluations in 51 countries with over 600 researchers. Most importantly, the evidence from this work has positively impacted more than 200 million people worldwide.
But there is still more work to do: some 735 million people still live on less than $1.90 a day, according to the latest data from the World Bank. Together, we can improve lives by using both our hearts and our minds. When we know what actually works, we can focus on benefiting people as effectively as possible.
