Roe has been the law of the land for almost 50 years, and the Supreme Court’s draft opinion calls into question the fundamental right to privacy -- the right to make personal choices about marriage, whether to have children, and how to raise them.
These are foundational rights for Americans -- a critical part of who we are.
If the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, it will fall on our nation’s elected officials to protect not only the right to choose, but the fundamental right to privacy. Folks, choices about marriage and children should be made by individuals and families -- not the government. I truly believe that.
