The Aging Mastery Program® (AMP) has been awarded a new grant by the Health Foundation for Western & Central New York to develop a sexual health elective for the AMP curriculum. The new class aims to address the gap in education and information available to older adults, who rarely consider sexual health part of aging well. Once completed, the curriculum will be distributed through the nationwide network of 500 sites conducting Aging Mastery Program® classes.

NCOA CEO Jim Firman announces retirement: Jim Firman officially announced his plans to retire from the National Council on Aging after nearly 25 years of service. During his tenure, the organization has helped millions of older adults through the introduction of BenefitsCheckUp.org, the Aging Mastery Program®, and improvements to Medicare and Medicaid. Jim has agreed to remain in his role until a successor has been named and onboarded.
