Hi friend, I’ll keep this quick. I’ve been pretty busy this past month, and it looks like that’s not going to change any time soon. I’m focused on the critical work in Congress, but I wanted to ask if you can help with another responsibility that’s important to me, and to the country.

Earlier this year, I agreed to be the Frontline Finance Chair for the House Democrats, which means I signed up to help make sure our frontline members have the resources they need to win their reelection.

And I was happy to do it, because these are the members who gave us the Majority that’s allowing us to do the critical work we’re doing for the country now. And they’re up against a wave of Republican money trying to take them down.

We can’t let them, friend. Like I said, I’m keeping this quick, but I asked one of the frontline members, Gil Cisneros, to write you a quick note about what he has been up to in Congress and what your support means. If you’d consider supporting both of us, it would mean a lot.

I’m Gil Cisneros: Representative of California’s 39th Congressional District, U.S. Navy veteran, father, and husband. Thanks to your support, I was elected to Congress in the 2018 blue wave, flipping this seat from red to blue to help take back the House.

Before I was elected, I spent my career advocating for students and veterans through the Cisneros Foundation. In Congress, I’m fighting for education, veterans’ rights and benefits, and lower prescription drug prices and healthcare costs in our nation's capital.

Our Democratic Majority has made a lot of progress -- passing legislation to expand voting rights, end gun violence, lift up the middle class, and protect LGBTQ Americans.

But now that my 2018 Republican opponent is challenging me for a rematch in 2020, all of that progress is at stake. My race is already listed as a toss-up, and Politico has named CA-39 one of the “most vulnerable” Democratic seats in California.

In 2018, with your grassroots support, we were able to fend off millions of dollars in super PAC attack ads to narrowly win this seat. We’ll need to repeat that effort in order to win in 2020. That’s why I’m asking:
