Congresswoman Lesko Weekly Update

Good Afternoon,

This week, I was back home in the great state of Arizona! It was a pleasure to speak at the Peoria Chamber of Commerce meeting. I always enjoy hearing directly from my constituents on the issues that matter most to them.

I also had a wonderful time speaking to constituents in Anthem about my work in Washington, D.C. and all I’m doing to protect our Arizona values in Congress.

It was a pleasure to visit Anthem Preparatory Academy for a tour and to speak with students from their leadership team. I was so impressed by the wonderful student leaders at Anthem Prep.

I also attended a town hall hosted by the Sun City West Recreation Center. It was great to see so many constituents and answer their questions!

It was great to join the Sun City West Rotary Club to meet with members and give them an update on all I’m doing in Congress.

In the News

I want to make sure that you don’t miss a minute of what I’m doing to fight for our Arizona values each and every day. Check out some of my latest interviews and press clips to learn more.

Op-Ed on the Violence Against Women Act

I am a survivor of domestic violence, and I am opposed to the Democrats’ partisan Violence Against Women Act because it puts radical gender ideology over the safety of domestic violence victims. Click below to read my op-ed in The Hill!

Lesko Requests Special Counsel for Hunter Biden

Image

In a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, I requested the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate Hunter Biden! This will ensure that there will be no bias when looking into the allegations against Hunter Biden.

Lesko Supports Victims of Crime

Image

As the Co-Chair of the Crime Survivors and Justice Caucus, I’m proud to cosponsor Congressman Jim Costa’s (D-CA-16) resolution to support designating April 24-30, 2022, as National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. We must ensure that the survivors and victims of crime have the support that they need to heal.

GET THE FACTS: U.S. Supreme Court’s Draft Decision on Roe v. Wade Leaked to the Public

If the reports surrounding the U.S. Supreme Court’s apparent ruling on Roe v. Wade are accurate, the U.S. Supreme Court has sided with the majority of Americans who want pro-life vs. pro-abortion laws decided by the people, through their elected representatives, at the state level. For those of us that are pro-life, like me, this is an opportunity to limit abortions, help pregnant women, and save lives. However, this unprecedented leak is designed to undermine and intimidate our judicial system. We must conduct a thorough investigation to hold those responsible for the leak accountable.

Encouraging Story

I am pleased to share this story about Honor Flights resuming in Phoenix for veterans to travel to Washington, D.C. after a two and a half year hiatus. Our veterans are now able to see all of the memorials in Washington, D.C. that have been built to honor their service and sacrifice.
