John – When this photo of me was taken, my opponent Sen. Grassley had already been in DC for 17 years. Despite promises to the contrary, he'd also already turned his back on working families like the one I grew up in. Good-paying jobs started disappearing. People left Iowa.
Thirty years later, Sen. Grassley is still in Washington and has done nothing to fight for our working families. Instead, Sen. Grassley bought himself a nearly million-dollar home in our nation’s capital.
That little girl you see in the picture? Well, she grew up to be the youngest woman to flip a House seat from red to blue. Now, with your help, I'll defeat Sen. Grassley and become the youngest woman ever elected to the Senate.
I know that unseating a seven-term incumbent doesn't happen overnight. But my family taught me that when there's work to be done or a problem to solve, you say yes – and right now, Sen. Grassley is causing a lot of problems for Iowa and our democracy. Rather than take action to protect our workers and unions, or at bare minimum protect the right to vote, Sen. Grassley is beholden to the far-right agenda of the former president who endorsed him at a rally here in Iowa.
It's no wonder Sen. Grassley is facing record-low approval ratings. Iowans know it's time to show him the door, and I promise you nobody is going to work harder than me to do it. But to win in November and protect our Senate majority, I need your help.
Please, before midnight tonight, will you make a donation of $5 or more right here and now to finally defeat Sen. Grassley, flip this seat blue and give working families a leader who will fight for them?

Thank you for having my back here.
– Abby
