Domestic workers lead the way in Philly -- and WON!
National Domestic Workers Alliance

John -- today Philly passed a Domestic Workers Bill of Rights that is the *first of its kind* in the country!

Now when I'm sick and can't work, I can actually take a day off! Because of this law all my employers can chip in a small amount, every time I work, to an account I can access whenever I need paid time off.

This has NEVER happened before -- not just for domestic workers, but for ANY worker who has more than one employer -- that's why I want to invite you to celebrate with us by sharing this big news widely:

Share on Facebook to celebrate this historic win!

It's not just paid time off: the Philadelphia Domestic Workers Bill of Rights guarantees us rest and meal breaks, civil rights protections and written contracts for just about all domestic workers.

For the first time I feel like my work inside people's homes as a domestic worker is being treated with the same respect as those who work in an office.

And because there are more and more Americans working like we do -- driving for Uber, or juggling multiple part-time jobs -- this could be a model used for all workers across the country!

Now, I want to ask for your help celebrating this incredible moment so we can build our momentum for every city, state and Member of Congress to add their support for Domestic Workers Bills of Rights moving across the country. This will ensure every worker who works for multiple employers can enjoy these basic rights too:

Celebrate with us by sharing this picture of the historic victory in Philly and building momentum to pass a Bill of Rights everywhere.

With gratitude,

Cynthia Drayton
