Hi John,

We’re Jackie and Terry. Our son, Zach Wahls, is an Iowa State Senator and the leader of the Iowa Senate Democrats. In celebration of Mother’s Day — or as we call it in our house, Mothers’ Day — we’re asking if you can spare $5 to keep Zach in office advocating for Iowa families the way he has always advocated for ours.

Eleven years ago, Zach gave a speech to the Iowa Legislature about our family and how important the freedom to marry was to all Iowans. His speech was a crucial moment in the fight for marriage equality and led to his election to the Iowa State Senate.

Since his first election, he has worked with Democrats and Republicans to protect Iowans who live in mobile and manufactured housing communities and to advance renewable energy goals that combat climate change. As Zach’s moms and constituents, we are so excited to re-elect him this November, and we hope you’ll join us by chipping in to his campaign today.
