Team,
This Mother’s Day, Michael is looking forward to spending time with his wife, Susan, and celebrating the love, dedication, and hard work that mothers and motherly figures everywhere provide for our communities and our families. That’s why Michael isn’t letting up in his fight to renew the monthly Child Tax Credit payments to parents that expired last year.
After six years of advocacy, Michael successfully expanded the Child Tax Credit last year to deliver monthly payments that benefited 96% of Colorado families with kids.
The monthly CTC payments meant that in an unprecedented economic and public health crisis, parents had help paying for their food, utility bills, child care expenses, or school supplies for their children.
Michael is fighting to renew this tax cut for working parents while Rick Scott — chair of the GOP Senate campaign arm — proposes raising taxes on middle class and low-income families.
Too many parents in Colorado and across the country are working multiple jobs while struggling to lift their children out of poverty. So while Michael looks forward to spending some time with Susan this weekend, he knows that the best way to honor mothers across the country is by permanently renewing the expanded Child Tax Credit.
Will you sign your name in support of renewing the monthly Child Tax Credit this Mother's Day weekend?
Thank you,
Team Bennet
