Last summer, an intense heatwave in the Pacific Northwest killed over 1,000 people and cooked over 1 billion sea animals to death.

Temperatures were over 110 degrees.

Hotels with air conditioning started price gouging — while poor people sweated it out.

We are facing global climate catastrophe, but the federal government continues to subsidize fossil fuel companies and approve drilling permits.

Instead, we should be transitioning rapidly to 100% renewable energy and bringing the energy industry into public ownership so it serves the people, not the profits of the wealthy few. That will never happen as long as we have Chevron-funded Democrats like my opponent in office.
