In California’s jungle primary system, only the top-two candidates will advance to the November general election — regardless of their political affiliation.

This means Barbara’s name will appear on the ballot alongside Democrats, Republicans, and No Party Preference candidates, alike — which could prove especially tricky since this is her first time running in California’s newly-drawn 12th district.
