#GivingTuesday is One Week From Today!

Hey Friend,

We’ve all been thinking hard about why we give so much to the work we do, not just as a dedicated bunch here at IPN, but why we each came to this work and stay in this work. 

#GivingTuesday is one week from today and I’m sharing my why with you and I’m asking you to support us on this great day of generosity. 

My why are the folks I met at the #HousingNotHandcuffs rally a few weeks ago. The defiant ones, the sick ones, the scared ones. My voice with theirs brought the raw truth to the public's attention and change is coming.

My why are the people who give again and again. The activists, organizers, and community leaders - every person I know who takes up a microphone, a phone, a bullhorn, a pen or keyboard and raises their voice to make progress. 

My why are everyday Nevadans. The full-time working folks, the caregivers and advocates and stay-at-home parents, the part-time and under-paid workers, the students, artists, and thinkers - everyone who lives in this state and wants freedom from fear, hate, intolerance, unkindness, and injustice. Our work at IPN, coupled with the work of so many partner and ally organizations, champions everyone who cannot be heard and continues to drive victories in our state.

In short, my why is you.
