The moment we’ve been waiting for is almost here, team: the New Mexico primary election is just 31 days away. On this day in one month, voters across New Mexico’s 2nd congressional district will make their voices heard and decide who will officially go up against Republican Rep. Yvette Herrell in November. We’ve been working towards this day since I first announced my campaign for Congress last September. Since then, I’ve dedicated the last eight months to traveling across this beautiful and diverse district, collecting petitions, meeting voters, knocking on doors, and building a strong coalition of support from Democratic leaders, unions, environmental groups, and other organizations.
On stage at the New Mexico Democratic Pre-Primary Convention, None of it would have been possible without grassroots support from people like you. Now, we have one month left to pull out all the stops and ensure we make the November ballot so we can take on far-right Herrell and flip this critical toss-up seat blue.
