Subject: PETITION: Demand the Senate codify Roe v. Wade



Last night, a draft majority opinion showed the Supreme Court of the United States is poised to strike down Roe v. Wade, eliminating abortion rights.

I want to be clear, team: Abortion is still legal. As of today, it remains your constitutional right. But if SCOTUS overturns Roe, 28 states are likely to ban abortion outright. And 13 states already have "trigger bans" in place, which would ban abortion automatically if Roe is overturned.

Reproductive justice has always been about racial and economic justice, too. Draconian, un-scientific, and dangerous abortion bans disproportionately impact Black, Latino, and Indigenous communities, people with disabilities, people in rural areas, young people, immigrants, and those having difficulty making ends meet.

The right to an abortion shouldn't come down to the whims of the Supreme Court, a politician, or even the president. It's something that should be discussed between a person and their doctor.

The end of Roe means we are at a crisis moment for abortion access. Please sign our petition now demanding the Senate codify Roe v. Wade by bringing the Women's Health Protection Act to a vote immediately.
