Fellow Conservative,
The Senate was in session this week while House Members were back in their districts. But the biggest news came from The Supreme Court.

While a leaked decision is unprecedented, the biggest news is the content of the decision—a rock-solid refutation of Roe v. Wade.
Overturning Roe
For over 49 years Roe v. Wade has marked one of the worst decisions the Supreme Court has ever made—it’s a prime case of judicial activism, falsely interpreting the Constitution to create new law.

If the draft opinion holds and Roe is overturned, lawmaking power on abortion will be rightfully returned to the legislature. The American people and their elected representatives will again set policy through legislation in Congress and the state capitals.

Debate around abortion policy will be a focal point for months and years to come. For the first time, the pro-abortion side of the debate won’t be able to hide behind Roe v. Wade.

Democrats will have to explain to voters at which week exactly that they think it’s still okay to kill a baby in the womb.

It’s important to remember just how extreme the Left is on this issue:

- The Democrats’ preeminent abortion legislation –– which passed the House but failed in the Senate –– would have legalized elective abortions through ALL NINE months of pregnancy.
- Nearly every Democrat in both chambers voted for this inhumane bill… Read more here. <[link removed]>
- Schumer and Senate Dems have even vowed to put this radical legislation to a vote next week, so call your Senators!

>>>Take Action: Call your Senators to oppose any bill expanding abortion or overruling state-level protections for babies <[link removed]>

- America is one of only FIVE countries in the world <[link removed]> that allows elective abortions in the third trimester. Who else is on the list? You guessed it, China and North Korea.
- In progressive Europe, 39 out of 42 countries <[link removed]> protect the life of an unborn baby after 15 weeks. Even The Washington Post <[link removed]> was forced to admit how extreme America’s federal laws are by comparison.
Meanwhile, conservatives are on the side of life. Contrary to what the liberal media may tell you, protecting life is supported by a majority of Americans. In fact, 71% of Americans <[link removed]> oppose late-term abortions in the second and third trimesters.

And across America, conservatives have passed laws to:

- Protect babies from gruesome late-term abortions,
- Protect babies once they are capable of feeling pain,
- Protect babies once they are viable outside the womb,
- Protect babies from being targeted and killed based on their race, gender, or genetics.

These laws acknowledge a fundamental truth: our humanity doesn’t depend on our age, our stage of development, or our abilities.

Update: A Conservative Win
Biden is planning to weaponize Title IX for the woke agenda, changing the definition of the word “sex” in law to also mean “sexual orientation” and “gender ideology.”

We released activist resources <[link removed]> and held a one-hour TV special report <[link removed]> explaining the impact this will have on schools and students.

Update: The Department of Education announced they have delayed their introduction of the rule. THIS IS BIG! Any way to stall and then halt the Biden Agenda is a success.

However, in politics, no defeat is final and no victory is permanent. We’ll keep monitoring, educating, persuading, and taking action. If the rule is introduced, there will be a 30-day window to leave public comments, which can further delay the rule and even help fight it in court.

Submitting public comments on executive rules is another tool activists have to fight back against the Swamp.
So-Called “China Bill”
This week, the Senate officially kicked off the conference committee to reconcile the differences between the House-passed China bill and the Senate-passed China bill.

Just a quick reminder: both of these bills are insufficient <[link removed]> to deal with the threat of China. In particular, the House-passed China bill <[link removed]> is nothing more than a Trojan horse to pass Biden’s Build Back Broke agenda.

As part of the conference committee process, the Senate voted on 28 Motions to Instruct (MTIs). MTIs are nonbinding instructions for the conference committee for taking up the China bill. Even though MTIs are non binding, they can give some helpful insight into Senators’ positions.

Here are some of note:

- Senator Ted Cruz’s (R-Texas) MTI to declare terrorism related sanctions on Iran are necessary to curb relations between Iran and China passed 86-12.
- Senator James Lankford’s (R-Okla.) MTI to require any deal with Iran to address Chinese purchases of Iranian oil in addition to Iran’s nuclear proliferation and terrorism activities passed 62-33.
- Senator Mike Lee’s (R-Utah) MTI to strip Green New Deal funding failed 48-49.
- Senator Tom Cotton’s (R-Ark.) MTI to swap funding for the UN’s Green Climate Fund to funding for DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) passed 50-44.

What do these votes tell us?

On one hand, we learned that there is broad bipartisan support to continue Trump-era policies that put strong pressure on Iran to stop its terrorism activities and nuclear ambitions.

On the other hand, Senate Democrats believe that countering China requires Green New Deal policies. They wrongly assert that more regulations on American businesses will make them more competitive.
Looking Ahead
As we mentioned earlier, the Senate will hold a vote next week on their “Abortion for All Act.” <[link removed]> While the legislation will most certainly fail to garner the required 60 votes to overcome a filibuster, it’s important to let your Senators know your position. Click here to give them a call! <[link removed]>

And next week the Senate will likely consider Biden’s nominee to the Federal Reserve Board –– Lisa Cook. Cook is the latest radical Biden nominee who is entirely unqualified for such a critical position in this high-inflationary environment.

Lisa Cook’s disqualifying factors:

- She’s anti-free speech. She tried to cancel <[link removed]> a fellow professor who opposed the “Defund the Police” movement.
- She has no monetary policy experience. Her research is focused <[link removed]> on reparations and social justice.
- During her hearings, she refused to answer numerous questions on inflation, the most pressing issue facing our economy.
- She already failed one Senate vote with every Republican voting against her.

Cook is a radical pick at a crucial moment in our time. Americans should be deeply concerned that Biden and Democrats want a nominee focused on social justice rather than inflation and jobs.

That’s all for this week. Thank you for your continued support!
