Jack, We are all working hard to defend democracy, but today we were dealt another blow. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been given the green light by Georgia Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger to run for reelection in Georgia's 14th Congressional district after being identified as a facilitator in the January 6 insurrection.
However, state law required the findings related to Greene's activity to be delivered to Secretary of State Raffensperger, who had the ultimate decision on whether Greene should be removed from the ballot. This evening, Brad Raffensperger released his decision allowing her to stand for reelection. Make no mistake, Secretary Raffensperger is a senior member of the GOP who will continue to purge voters, close polling locations in black neighborhoods, and allow insurrectionists to hold office. As a Marine Corps veteran, I will bring a level of accountability, integrity, and judgment to the Secretary of State's office that the people of Georgia and America can count on.
