Friend,

I just walked off the floor of the Connecticut Democratic Party convention, where I was proud to accept the party's nomination for re-election to the U.S. Senate. Democrats can't take a single seat for granted this year – if we do, we'll hand the Senate right back to Mitch McConnell. But the Senate GOP has already targeted me and has $44 million in the bank to flip this seat. So at this major moment for our campaign, I'm asking directly: If you're with me in the fight to protect this Senate seat and maintain Democratic control of the Senate, will you pitch in a contribution right away?

We've been through a lot of tough fights together, and we're in one of the most consequential as we speak: The battle to protect a woman's fundamental right to reproductive healthcare. We know that there will be more to come, but our job has always been to fight for the people, no matter how powerful the special interests that stand in our way.

In accepting tonight's nomination, I'm proud of just how much we've delivered for the people of Connecticut: Tax cuts for families struggling with rising costs, $14 billion to help small businesses grow and thrive, helping veterans get the benefits they deserve and modernizing our VA Hospital, and cleaning up the Long Island Sound and protecting our environment.

Most critically, after decades of unkept promises, we delivered on infrastructure – bringing $4 billion to Connecticut to repair our roads, bridges, and broadband. This work makes us safer and stronger. If you believe in the importance of Democratic Senate control to continue delivering on progress for our country, will you make a donation to protect this must-win Senate seat?

I've dedicated my career to public service. I will always fight for the people I serve, and I will not back down.

I'll continue fighting my heart out to force Big Pharma to allow generic drugs into the marketplace. I'll call out Facebook and Big Tech to protect our children from internet predators. I'll stand up to Big Oil and make them pay a windfall profits tax for their price gouging. I'll keep fighting to suspend the federal gas tax.

But it doesn't end there. I will fight with everything I have to make our communities safer by passing common sense gun violence prevention measures. I'll work with law enforcement to make sure they have the resources to keep us safe with "better" policing methods, to stop the flow of fentanyl and other drugs into our communities, and to "help" those struggling with addiction and mental health problems.

Importantly, I need you to know this and take it to heart: I will keep standing up to Donald Trump and his GOP loyalists who are hellbent on undermining our democracy and weakening voting rights. And you better believe that I will continue fighting to pass the Women's Health Protection Act – because it is a fundamental human right to determine if and when to have a family.

To accomplish all of this, we must all take action and prevent the U.S. Senate from falling into the hands of Mitch McConnell and his band of Trump Republicans. The stakes are too high, and we've got too much work to do. So I'm asking you to help me carry forward the momentum from today. We've set a big goal to raise $10,000 before midnight. Can I count on your contribution?*

Rush $5 or more now – whatever you can spare to help us hit this goal – so we can defend Connecticut's Senate seat and protect Democratic Senate control!

Thank you so much.
