May 6, 2022
John --
May is off to a great start at the Republican Party of Wisconsin. We have been hosting several events designed to engage communities across Wisconsin and reach voters from all walks of life.
Additionally, we are just two weeks away from our 2022 State Convention in Middleton! There is still time to register on our convention website here <[link removed]>.
As always, thanks for all you do!
- Team WisGOP
To commemorate the week of Cinco de Mayo, the WisGOP joined the RNC to host a food drive at our Hispanic Community Center. Senator Ron Johnson even stopped by to give remarks and thank volunteers for their efforts. Hundreds of items were donated to support God Touch Milwaukee and families within Milwaukee’s Hispanic community who are struggling to find basic necessities due to skyrocketing inflation and supply chain crises under Joe Biden. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
On Thursday, Kenosha County Republicans hosted a roundtable discussion moderated by KUSD School Board member Eric Meadows featuring commentary from parents, teachers, and local elected officials. Participants discussed timely topics like education transparency and parental rights. Read more in the Kenosha News here <[link removed]>.
We are approaching the registration deadline for the 2022 WisGOP Convention in Middleton on May 20-22! You can register online until May 18, 2022. Get your tickets on our convention website here <[link removed]>. We hope to see you there!
As we await the official ruling from the Supreme Court, the WisGOP stands for the right to life and the right of the people to protect it. We applaud any Court decision that affirms the right to life and will proudly support candidates who do as well. Meanwhile, Democrat politicians have rejected what science tells us and have embraced radical abortion policies that are completely detached from the American mainstream. Democrats have refused <[link removed]> to back any limits on abortion, including up to the moment of birth and after. Democrats even blocked legislation banning infanticide <[link removed]>. Life is precious and worth defending. Democrats are fighting to force their radical abortion agenda on all Americans – Republicans are fighting to stop them. Read the MacIver Institute’s piece on the top disinformation surrounding the potential decision here <[link removed]>.

Earth to Barnes: Senate Dem Candidate Can’t Name Any Successes from His Climate Task Force <[link removed]>
Happy Earth Day to everyone in Wisconsin except Lt. Governor and Democrat Senate candidate Mandela Barnes, who claims to be an expert on environmental issues because he chairs a task force on climate change. However, when asked if any of his “55 concrete strategies” for addressing climate change in Wisconsin had been successfully implemented, Barnes could not name one.
Tony Evers: Expanding Government That Doesn’t Work <[link removed]>
It’s no secret that Tony Evers wants bigger government. Last week, in conjunction with a “clean energy” proposal that claims to “lower energy bills and prices at the pump” by imposing a “transition” to electric cars, Evers announced a new taxpayer-funded office for “environmental justice.” This comes after three years of proposals that empower big government bureaucrats, including $1 billion in tax hikes, government-run health care, “equity officers” at state agencies, and fossil fuel penalties. Yet Tony Evers’ government doesn’t work as it is.
Democrats Buck Biden on the Border <[link removed]>
After March saw the highest monthly number of illegal border crossings in DHS history, it’s no wonder that border security is causing trouble in paradise for Democrats in Wisconsin and across the country. According to a recent report by Politico: “The administration has a few weeks to cool the criticisms from Democrats. Otherwise, the Biden administration could be locked in a lengthy political fight with members of its own party, dividing them just as they need to unite.”
