We're thrilled that CNN is now regularly highlighting our award-winning sex trafficking documentary, Nefarious: Merchant of Souls, on their site as a part of their Freedom Project!

Not long after Exodus Cry was founded, we began working on a short informational video about trafficking.

Nineteen countries, four continents, and four years later we had Nefarious: Merchant of Souls ([link removed]) , a raw, yet redemptive feature-length film that has illuminated the true face of trafficking for millions of viewers worldwide.

The strength of this film is rooted in the true stories of survivors who bravely and boldly share about what they’ve endured.

One of the most inspiring aspects of the film's success is seeing how viewers, like you, have been impacted by it.

Year after year, we continue to hear about how Nefarious has drawn new abolitionists into the anti-trafficking movement and ignited a zeal for justice in the minds and hearts of viewers everywhere.

The film has been used to train law enforcement, educate girls at risk for trafficking, offer insight to lawmakers in multiple countries, and has even helped survivors to realize that what they experienced was, in fact, trafficking.

A teacher in Germany (where sex buying is legal) shared that after showing the film in his classes, a 20-year old student approached him and revealed he was a frequent sex buyer.

After watching Nefarious, he was no longer able to continue purchasing sex, and he was passionately insisting that his sex-buying peers think twice before purchasing prostituted women.

This is why we make films: to end exploitative behavior and uproot society’s tacit acceptance of it.
