John, in 2020, we “voted blue” just like they asked—and we gave them majorities in BOTH Houses of Congress along with the White House.
In exchange, they told us they would cancel student debt, decriminalize marijuana at the federal level, end cash bail, institute a $15 per hour minimum wage, lower prescription drug prices, and, infamously, send us $2,000 stimulus checks.
We delivered. Now it’s time for Democrats to deliver in return.
I’m sorry, John, but I am sick and tired of the do-nothing Democrats in our Party telling us the only way we can combat radical rightwing conservatism is by, once again, “voting blue no matter who,” when we know full well they haven’t done a damn thing to deliver on their promises these past two years. I could go on and on, but I’ll spare you a full Friday afternoon sermon because I suspect I’d be preaching to the choir.
We’re in crunch time. We still need to raise $92,231.48 before early voting begins, and with just three weeks to do so, every single day and every single dollar matters now more than ever.
Amy Vilela is running for Congress in Las Vegas to represent the people of Nevada's First District because we deserve more! For too long, our status quo leadership has been complacent, but working people need a champion—someone who understands the struggle and who will take that lived experience with them to Congress to fight for us. Amy knows the struggle firsthand, she has that lived experience, she's ready to fight, and she will be that champion!
One of the biggest challenges corporate-free grassroots campaigns like ours face is not knowing when the funds will come in. One of the best ways our supporters can help us overcome that uncertainty as we work to Get Out the Vote is by becoming a weekly recurring donor.
