Georgia already has the second highest maternal mortality rate in the country. But it’s about to get a whole lot worse if Roe v. Wade is overturned. And Republicans don’t care.

Georgia Republicans don’t care that people are going to die if Roe v. Wade is overturned.

They aren’t upset that a state that already has the second highest maternal mortality rate in the country is going to see an even HIGHER maternal mortality rate.

They’re thrilled to watch reproductive rights be ripped away from over half of all Americans.

Georgia Republicans think that they can get away with their deeply unpopular, extremist, anti-abortion views. They think that Georgia voters will forgive them, and their anti-abortion opinions won’t come back to bite them.

And they might be right.

If we can’t reach voters to make sure they know that Republicans like Brian Kemp, David Perdue, and Herschel Walker are vehemently anti-abortion, then they might be able to get away with their extreme opposition to Roe v. Wade.

Overturning Roe v. Wade will make a health care crisis in Georgia even worse. We’re already the second most dangerous state in America for pregnancies, and that’s just going to get worse as Republicans crack down on access to reproductive care.
