John, we just wanted to make sure you saw our email from the other day.
For the next six months, Democrats will argue that electing them is critical to protecting Roe v. Wade. We agree — and that makes the idea that ANY Democratic elected official would endorse anti-choice Henry Cuellar even more unacceptable.
We’re missing your name on our petition calling on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, and Majority Whip Jim Clyburn to rescind their endorsements of Henry Cuellar in TX-28. Add your name right now and share the petition on social media.

Subject: Sign the petition to House leadership: Rescind your endorsement of Henry Cuellar:
John,
Late Monday, we learned that the Supreme Court appears likely to soon overturn Roe v. Wade, ending federal abortion protections as we have known them in this country for the last 50 years.
So why is House leadership — including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, and Majority Whip Jim Clyburn — still backing Henry Cuellar, the last anti-choice Democrat in the House?
If Democrats intend to lead the fight for reproductive freedom and abortion rights, they can’t continue to support conservative, anti-choice Democrats like Cuellar. Will you sign our urgent petition calling on Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, and Jim Clyburn to rescind their endorsement of Henry Cuellar in TX-28?

For the Democratic Party’s national elected leaders to support a candidate opposed to abortion rights — especially in this moment — is inexcusable, John. Henry Cuellar:
- Co-sponsored anti-choice legislation with the GOP;
- Has an adviser who leads a dark-money group linked to abortion ban activists that ran ads against his pro-choice opponent Jessica Cisneros;
- Received an award from the extreme anti-choice group March for Life earlier this year, and;
- Is the ONLY Democrat who voted against the Women’s Health Protection Act to codify Roe v. Wade after Texas enacted extreme abortion restrictions in the state.
On Tuesday, Steny Hoyer tweeted that “House Democrats will do whatever we can to affirm women’s right to access abortion care safely and legally in every corner of our country.” If that’s true, then Cuellar stands directly in opposition to their agenda.
With the House majority on the line in this midterm election year, Cuellar could be the deciding vote on the future of reproductive rights in this country — we can’t afford to take that risk. If you agree, add your name to our petition calling on Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, and Jim Clyburn to rescind their endorsement of the last anti-choice Democrat in the House.
In solidarity,
Team WFP
