Roe v. Wade Set to Be Overturned Per Leaked Supreme Court Draft Opinion

On May 3, the news outlet, Politico, broke the story that a U.S. Supreme Court draft opinion was leaked showing that the Supreme Court is set to overturn the landmark abortion case of Roe v. Wade. However, no official opinion has been released by the Supreme Court yet.  Texas Values has been very busy this week fielding interviews on this breaking story.  Texas Values staff did a Facebook Live as this story was developing.  Texas Values urges the Supreme Court to finalize the opinion immediately.

Attention Parents! Schools must adhere to new sex education laws passed in the 87th legislative session. Don’t forget that the State Board of Education passed new abstinence focused standards in 2020. Sex-education must be Opt-In, meaning the school must ask your permission as a parent to teach your child about sex. Also, School Health Advisory Councils must adhere to new rules that make their meetings more transparent by allowing for public comment, recorded meetings, and must let parents know of meetings 72 hours in advance. We received word that some school districts are trying to skirt these new laws

Pastor Jorge Tovar Interviewed on CNN Espanol

On May 4, Texas Values’ very own Pastor Jorge Tovar, Church Coordinator South Texas for the Church Ambassador Network, was on CNN Espanol to discuss the future of an end of Roe v. Wade in the aftermath of the leaked draft opinion from the U.S. Supreme Court earlier this week.
