Gilbert Villegas currently serves as the 36th Ward alderman, which encompasses Northwest Chicago. He also serves as chair of the Latino and Veterans Caucuses and is an elected member of the Chicago City Council. He previously served as the Deputy Director of the Office of Business and Workforce Diversity at the Illinois Department of Transportation. Villegas supports a strong US.-Israel relationship. He opposes the BDS movement – which he describes as encouraging antisemitism. A Marine combat veteran, he understands the need for strong allies like Israel, and he pledges to support full defense funding for Israel. With our support, he will be a strong voice for the US-Israel relationship in Congress. |
