Hey there, it’s Katy, Adam’s wife!

This week is National Teacher’s Appreciation Week! This week we are
celebrating educators all across the nation. As the president of the school
board for the Aspen school district, I recognize the impact educators make for
our students.

Educators are the backbone of our country, and as such they deserve to be
treated significantly better. They deserve higher pay and our public schools
deserve to be well-funded. When my husband gets to Congress, he is going to
fight for all educators - teachers, administrators, and all the support staff
that help to educate our children. When I speak with other school board members
across the state, it’s clear that we are all struggling with the same issues.
We can’t find enough bus drivers, food service workers, special education
teachers, substitutes, teachers, office staff and more. Add in rampant
inflation and spikes in housing costs, and we cannot pay any of our staff the
wages they deserve to attract and retain them, and our children are suffering
as a result.

My husband, Adam Frisch, cares about Colorado’s educators and school systems,
Lauren Boebert does not.

In Congress, my husband has a plan to fight to put more resources into our
classrooms, aiding primarily rural school districts, investing in job training
that help both educators and students succeed, and increasing pay for all staff.

We have two kids in high school, Adam is a substitute teacher, and I sit on
Aspen’s school board. Our family has always been committed to quality
education, and we understand and fight for our youth’s education. We actually
work for our kids every day, and don’t just give education lip service like
others.

Elected officials have the power to change the lives of educators and
