Team, I have some exciting news to share: the National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare has endorsed our campaign!

They work tirelessly to protect, preserve, and ensure the financial well-being of all Americans, and I'm proud to have their support. No matter your political affiliation, we should all want to ensure that seniors can retire with dignity.

Quality health care is necessary for a high quality of life. That's why I voted for legislation that would finally allow Medicare to negotiate prices for high-cost drugs with pharmaceutical manufacturers and allow Medicare to provide partial coverage for hearing services.

I am also incredibly proud to be an original co-sponsor of the Social Security 2100 Act to extend Social Security’s solvency for more than 75 years and simultaneously improve benefits. I have always been and will continue to remain committed to protecting Social Security and Medicare – two of the most successful public policy programs in the history of this country.

I know that Social Security and Medicare are vital to the well-being of our nation, as well as to the economy of Washington's 6th congressional district. I earned a 100% record on the National Committee’s voting scoreboard last Congress, and I plan to do so again.
