If Mike Garcia wants to take out a multi-million dollar ad buy to try to convince the people of CA-27 he's not that extreme, we have some questions for him:
If over 70% of the people in CA-27, and well over half of the country, support upholding Roe v. Wade, why did he vote against the Women's Health Protection Act that would guarantee a woman's right to choose?
Why did he co-sponsor the Life at Conception Act, one of the most extreme bills in Congress that would ban all abortions and some forms of contraception, including IUDs?
Why did he sign that Amicus Brief to the Supreme Court asking for Roe and Casey to be overturned?
This is why: Mike Garcia is the second-most funded member of the House by anti-choice activists. He harbors far-right, extremist views and can't wait to ban abortion federally if the GOP takes control of Congress.
Abortion rights are on the ballot this year, make no mistake. If we want to protect Roe, it starts right here in CA-27 by defeating Mike Garcia.
Our June 7th primary will be the first preview of what could happen in November. That means we can't slow down, not even for a moment. We need to show Mike and all anti-choice legislators out there that overturning the right to abortion and bodily autonomy is something we will not tolerate.
