John, when I am out meeting voters and their children, I see the future of Iowa so clearly. Unfortunately, Chuck Grassley sold out after 47 years in Washington and has given up on our state’s future. 

I have so much hope for Iowa's future, and being with these kids is a reminder of why we  must fight for it. That's why I'm running for Senate – to create a better future for working families, for union families, and for the next generation of Iowans. If you're with me to defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley and expand our Democratic Senate majority, will you chip in a grassroots donation?

I want the kids I have met across our state to grow up to attend good public schools and colleges. I want them to grow up in a place where they can access reliable, affordable healthcare for the rest of their lives. Where there's an abundance of good-paying jobs for them and their families to choose from. Where they don't have to move away from home to find opportunities. Where they can settle down with a family of their own. Where they are set up to have a great, fulfilling life.

That's my dream for Iowa’s kids – for Iowa’s future. But we're never going to realize that future with leaders like Sen. Grassley running things.

You see, during his 47 years in Washington, Sen. Grassley has left families like mine behind. He's blocked protections for unions, he's tried to take away our health care, and he's failed to stop more than 30,000 family farms from disappearing under his watch. These days he's more concerned with pushing an out-of-touch right-wing agenda and doing Trump's and McConnell's bidding than he is with fighting for the people he's supposed to serve.

Iowa deserves new leadership – and now that Sen. Grassley is facing record-low approval ratings, we've got a chance to show him the door this November. But I need you with me to overcome the GOP's war chest of $44 million and their right-wing attacks on our campaign. So please, if you believe in a better future for the next generation, can you rush $5 right here and now to defeat Sen. Grassley, expand our Senate majority, and move Iowa – and America – forward?
