Disgusting.
In an interview with the Greeley Tribune, Buck would later go on to describe the victim’s experience as, ‘a case of buyer's remorse’.
Buck’s misogyny doesn’t stop here, when the Violence Against Women Act came up for reauthorization in 2021, Buck stated that he was “proud” to not support the “radical” Violence Against Women Act.
In a district with over 434,151 female constituents along with the least coverage for reproductive care in the entire state, Colorado’s 4th Congressional district can do better than Buck. If he thinks that over half of his constituents shouldn’t be able to make their own decision about their bodies, then he doesn’t deserve to be their Congressman.
And if Republicans take back the House in November, Congressman Buck will take a leading position on the House Judiciary Committee where he will be able to block any attempt to codify Roe. We cannot let this happen.
Do not let this dark moment deter you. Now is the time to fight and we hope you will join us.
