A Republican super PAC aligned with Kevin McCarthy just bought $125
million in TV ads to attack House Democrats like Katie Porter and Mike
Levin in an effort to take control of Congress.(1)

The Congressional Leadership Fund super PAC is well-known for vicious
attack ads filled with lies, and these smears will be echoed on Fox "News"
and across the right wing media. We cannot let these attacks go
unanswered.(2)

We are fighting back against this Republican disinformation by calling on
the cable networks to drop Fox "News," advertising our Courage Voter
Guide, and organizing get-out-the-vote efforts to directly contact voters
and correct the lies they're seeing on television and online.

We'll never match Kevin McCarthy dollar for dollar, but we have a proven
track record of mobilizing voters and providing the margin needed to win
in close races.

$125 million is a huge number, and House Republicans are calling it just a
"down payment" to defeat progressives like Katie Porter and take control
of Congress.(3)

And polls show that the threat is real. Two-thirds of Republican voters
have a high interest in the midterm elections, but less than half of
Democratic voters feel the same. The last time the gap was this wide,
Democrats lost more than 60 seats in the House.(4)

That's why Courage California is going all in to fight these
disinformation campaigns and stop the Republican takeover of Congress with
our proven-effective voter-education tools and get-out-the-vote tactics.
But we don't have massive corporate backing like Kevin McCarthy, so if
we're going to be able to keep the fires burning, we're counting on
grassroots donations from Courage members like you.
